Crest View Farms, LLC is nestled on 80 + acres of rolling hills that offer beautiful pastures for our equine friends.

Crest View Farms, LLC was legally named in 2004 but was started long before that year. It was established by Blair Cunningham (now Newsome), who is now joined by her husband Adam Newsome. Blair has been around horses all her life. She comes from a family that raised Appaloosa’s and Standardbred’s in the 70’s and then got into the Thoroughbred Racing industry in the early 80’s. Blair has been riding horses since she was able to walk. Blair grew up on horses. Growing up she showed horses in the hunter/jumper discipline along with showing Dressage and Side Saddle. She now just rides for pleasure with a few trips to the show ring and goes on a few relaxing trail rides with Adam.
Blair and Adam’s relationship started when Blair decided to travel to Tennessee with some friends for a weekend trail ride. On the same weekend Adam decided to also travel to the same campground from Alabama to trail ride with friends. During the weekend they ran into each other because of a mutual friend that Blair was traveling with. Adam and Blair had an instant connection that weekend. Six months later Adam moved from Alabama to Kentucky. A year and half after they met in Tennessee they were married on horseback.
Blair Cunningham–Newsome grew up in Danville, Kentucky until she was 8 years old. She then moved with her family to Woodstock, Connecticut living there until High School. Blair began her show career in lead line when she was two years old. She continued her successfull show competition in the Hunter/ Jumper, Dressage and Side Saddle disciplines. Blair’s show career started when she was two and she still shows occasionally at local shows but in Western disciplines. Blair attended college at College of Charleston in South Carolina. There she graduated with a BS degree in Athletic Training (sports medicine) in 1998. After graduating Blair worked a few years as a Certified Athletic Trainer but felt there was something missing from her life. She discovered it was horses missing from her life. So she went back to college to pursue an equine degree. Blair attended Midway College in Kentucky were she graduated with a BS degree in Equine Therapy in 2005. While At Midway College she had the privilege to study under Mimi Porter, who is the founder of Equine Therapy. Mimi has been practicing equine therapy for 30 + years. Mimi Porter is the author of the book “The New Equine Sports Therapy”. (Equine Therapy can be compared to physical therapy and rehabilitation for humans offered to our equine athletes).
After receiving a degree in Equine Therapy from Midway College, Blair went to work independently as an Equine Therapist. Her equine therapy practice includes: Electrical Stimulation, Therapeutic Ultrasound, Photon therapy (low level laser), and Infrasound. Blair practices her equine therapy by traveling to race tracks in Kentucky (Keeneland, Churchill Downs, and Turfway Park), Florida, and New York. She has been able to offer her equine therapy to horses in such races as the Kentucky Derby, the Kentucky Oaks, Graded Stakes, and several others. Some of her clients had been Kentucky Oaks winners and Eclipse award winners. Blair also offers her equine therapy not only to those horses at the race tracks but also provides therapy to pleasure horses, show horses and even cattle.
Adam Newsome comes from a Tennessee Walking Horse background. So he brings the recreational side to the business. He is the one who breaks the horses and takes them on their first few trail rides. Some of the places that Adam and their horses have ventured to are Tennessee, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Georgia and of course Kentucky. Adam and Blair work together as a team to break horses of their own and for their customers.
Adam and Blair are a huge part of the daily care for the horses on their farms along with maintaining the farms. They take pride in the personal attention that they provide to both the horses and the farms.
